Thomas is a Managing Director at Centri Business Consulting. He has more than 14 years of experience in planning and executing financial statements, internal control, and compliance audits, in addition to providing technical accounting, financial reporting, and CFO advisory services. He joined Centri in May 2022, where he provides advisory services to venture capital and private equity portfolio companies in technology, business and professional services, and consumer products.

Thomas specializes in the accounting and reporting for complex revenue recognition transactions under ASC 606, ASC 985-605, and ASC 605, including multiple-element arrangements, software revenue recognition, proportional performance method, and percentage-of-completion method of revenue recognition.  Thomas provides value-added services to clients he supports. During the course of engagement fieldwork, he has identified operational improvements to increase utilization of resources, identified financial reporting efficiencies, and assisted management in benchmarking key financial ratios for the client’s industry, region, and size. Additionally, he has identified internal control recommendations to efficiently remediate internal control deficiencies and communicated those recommendations to management, board of directors and audit committee members.

Prior to his time with Centri, Thomas was a Senior Manager at RSM US LLP. There, he specialized in the application of ASC 805, Business Combinations. He has extensive experience accounting for business combinations, including assessing the reasonableness of management and third-party valuation specialist prepared fair value measurements, purchase price allocations, final working capital adjustments, and subsequent accounting for contingent considerations, indemnifications, contingencies, and the impairment analysis for intangible assets and goodwill.

Thomas received his B.S. in Accounting from Salisbury University and his M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola University of Maryland. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is a Certified Public Accountant.
